- Do NOT apply to latex modified mortar or concrete.
- Do NOT place over working control joint.
Uses
- Excellent for use on concrete block and similar surfaces as a graffiti-resistant decorative coating.
- With aggregate broadcast onto wet surface, produces an easy-to-clean, slip-resistant coating.
- Tile-like coating for protecting walls and floors against water, chemicals and heavy traffic.
Advantages
- Blush-resistant, even in high humidity.
- High gloss.
- 100% solids.
- Resistant to water spotting.
- Chemical resistant
Surface Preparation
Surface must be clean, sound, dry and free of all foreign materials such as oils, grease, loose paint, dust and laitance. This may be accomplished by sand blasting or scarifying, followed by an air blast to remove dust and debris from the application area. New concrete surfaces should be acid etched, rinsed thoroughly and allowed to dry.
Mixing & Application
- 1. Stir each component separately.
- 2. Clear: Mix 2 volumes of part A with 1 volume of part B. Pigmented: Mix 1 volume of part A with 1 volume of part B.
- 3. Mix thoroughly, being sure to scrape the sides and bottom, with a strong mixing stick or slow-speed drill equipped with a paint propeller.
- 4. Do not mix more than can be applied in 30 minutes.
- 5. As a coating, apply mixed material by brush or roller.
For best results, two coats should be applied. Allow the first coat to cure overnight. Apply the second coat within 24 hours. If more time than 24 hours has elapsed, a light sanding of the first coat is required. SUPERIOR GLOSS can be placed as thick as desired on horizontal surfaces without affecting the cure.
When slip-proofing is required, broadcast sand, emery or carborundum into the first coat while still tacky. Apply the second coat to seal.
