Moisture Cured Floor Paint is a single-pack, eggshell finish, moisture cured polyurethane floor coating that is quick-drying, chemical and abrasion resistant, providing high durability in moderately aggressive environments. Our Moisture Cured Floor Paint System is suitable for application onto concrete, timber and metal (when correctly prepared/primed) etc. for use as a floor paint in locations such as factories, warehouses, workshops, garages etc. with regular traffic, occasional spillages of chemicals, solvents, oils and other surface contamination. Fast Cure - Same day overcoating permits fast application, bring floors back into service quickly. Hard Wearing - Excellent resistance to pedestrian traffic, and moderate mechanical trafficking. Almost as good as a 2-pack floor coating. Chemical Resistant - Resists a wide range of chemicals and solvents providing excellent protection in many industrial environments. Oil & Grease Resistant - Ideal for factories, workshops and garages. Easy to use - Single pack product with no on-site mixing. The
Moisture Cured Urethane System is easy to apply and maintain, providing decorative as well as functional surface finishes. They do release a strong solvent during application and curing, so you need to ensure that you have adequate ventilation before selecting this system - it is not recommended that people with asthma apply this product. It's unique moisture cured formulation is more tolerant of slightly damp surfaces than other floor coatings, and offers excellent adhesion to existing sound prepared floor coatings. The slip-resistance of
Moisture Cured Urethane can be enhanced by applying our Fine or Medium Grade Anti-Slip Aggregate. Scatter evenly onto the wet first coat as you apply the coating area by area. This should be allowed to dry, then loose particles brushed away before applying the second coat to encapsulate the Aggregate. Ensure all areas are clean, sound, dry and free from all dust, dirt, loose and flaking material, and general surface contamination. All oils, grease and other contaminants, etc. should be removed with a suitable degreasing solution and/or steam cleaning. New concrete must be fully through-dry (a rule-of-thumb guide is to allow 1 month of drying time for every inch of concrete laid - For example 6 months for 6 inches of concrete). Etch or mechanically abrade any hard smooth, chemically treated or power floated concrete floors, and remove any surface laitance (soft under-bound surface layer). Timber surfaces should be thoroughly sanded and vacuumed. Bare Porous or Friable Substrates: Apply 1 coat Moisture Cured Binder Sealer, 2 coats of
Moisture Cured Urethane. Previously painted substrates (sound): Existing coatings must be sound, firmly adhered and suitable for coating (apply a test area if unsure). Wash, degrease and thoroughly abrade to roughen existing surfaces and remove sheen. Apply 2 coats of Moisture Cured Floor Paint. Moderately Porous Surfaces (sound): Apply 1 thinned coat (15% addition of Moisture Cured Thinners)
Moisture Cured Urethane. Apply 2 coats of
Moisture Cured Urethane. Prepared Metal Surfaces: Apply 1 coat Moisture Cured Metal Primer. Apply 2 coats of
Moisture Cured Urethane. Theoretical coverage 10 square meters per litre. Practical coverage approximately 8 square meters per litre, this may vary depending on the porosity and profile of the substrate. Only apply by brush or short pile roller. Touch dry in approximately 2 hours. Minimum overcoating interval: 6 hours. Maximum overcoating interval: 24 hours (it is important that the second coat is applied within this time period to ensure a good chemical bond between the first and second coats occurs). These times are based on a temperature of 20°C, normal relative humidity and good drying conditions. Do not apply if temperatures are below 10°C, especially in areas of low ventilation.
