This product is recommended for a variety of uses: as a
penetrating sealer over tightly adhering rusted surfaces, as a
sealer/finish coat for concrete surfaces, as a bonding primer over
glossy and hard-to-coat surfaces such as galvanized steel, stainless
steel, zinc, chrome, copper, brass, aluminum, and other nonferrous
metals. Red Oxide Primer will also
bond to hard slick surfaces, such as porcelain, Formica®, and other
nonporous surfaces. Actual spread rate will depend on the
substrate porosity and application technique.

Surface Preparation
All surfaces to be coated must be dry and free of dust, dirt, oil, grease, wax, or other contaminants that could interfere with coating
adhesion.
WARNING! If you scrape, sand or remove old paint, you may release lead dust. LEAD IS TOXIC. EXPOSURE TO LEAD DUST CAN
CAUSE SERIOUS ILLNESS, SUCH AS BRAIN DAMAGE, ESPECIALLY IN CHILDREN. PREGNANT WOMEN SHOULD ALSO AVOID
EXPOSURE. Wear a NIOSH-approved respirator to control lead exposure. Carefully clean up with a HEPA vacuum and a wet mop. Before

Application Information
May be brushed, rolled, or sprayed; squeegee may be used for floor application. Do not exceed recommended film thickness; extra care
must be taken to ensure complete coverage of the surface.
Clean Up Instructions
Clean all equipment immediately after use with Aromatic Thinner (M94). Flushing spray equipment at noon break, with a thorough
cleaning at the end of the work day, is good work practice.

IMPORTANT: Designed to be mixed from two components (M35-00 and M35-84). Mixture will have hazards of both components. Before
opening packages, read all warning labels. Follow all precautions.
Keep away from heat and flame. Use only with adequate ventilation. Do not breathe vapors, spray mist or sanding dust. Do not get
in eyes or on skin. WEAR A PROPERLY FITTED VAPOR/PARTICULATE RESPIRATOR APPROVED BY NIOSH FOR USE WITH PAINTS, eye protection,
gloves, and protective clothing during application (or sanding) and until all vapors and spray mist are exhausted. In confined places or
in situation where continuous spray operations are typical, or if proper respirator fit is not possible, wear a positive-pressure, supplied air respirator
approved by NIOSH. In all cases, follow respirator manufacturer’s directions. Do not permit anyone without protection in the painting
area. Close container after each use.
FIRST AID: If affected by inhalation of vapors or spray mist, remove to fresh air. In case of eye contact, flush immediately with plenty of water
for at least 15 minutes and call a physician. For skin, wash thoroughly with soap and water. In case of ingestion, DO NOT induce vomiting.
Get medical help immediately.
IN CASE OF: FIRE – Use foam, CO2, dry chemical, or water fog. SPILL – Absorb with inert material and dispose of in accordance with
applicable regulations.
USE COMPLETELY OR DISPOSE OF PROPERLY. This product contains organic solvents which may cause adverse effects to the environment if
handled improperly. Disposal of wastes containing either organic solvents or free-liquids in landfills is prohibited. Dry, empty containers may
be recycled in a can recycling program. Local disposal requirements vary; consult your sanitation department or state-designated
environmental agency on disposal options.
